Summary
The EU Agricultural Outlook conference is the key annual gathering of European stakeholders willing to engage and discuss the future of agriculture in Europe and the challenges which lie ahead.
Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission and Janusz Wojciechowski, EU Commisisoner for Agriculture, opened the last edition of the conference,held on 16-17 December 2020.
It reflected on the lessons learnt from the Covid-19 crisis and looked at the pathways to a green recovery. It also offered an opportunity to present and discuss the results of the foresight study on the “Farmers of the future”.
As every year, the conference coincided with the publication of the annual report on the prospects for agricultural markets, income and environmentwith a 10-year horizon.
